“It’s a sin, God hates it” – Ceccy Twum on LGBTQI + activities

Gospel singer Ceccy Twum has said that homosexual activity is completely aberrant with the laws and principles of God.

She says that even though people sin, “we have something that we call abomination, God hates it”.

“Sin is sin; evil is evil. So me, for example, I don’t want to talk about it [LGBTQI+]; I don’t even want to hear this because evil is evil. So we should stop [being like] someone’s feeling and all that.

Speaking in an interview on Close, a new personality-focused segment in Joy FM’s Christian magazine program, “Reason is Jesus” on Sunday, ”she prayed for God’s intervention.

“If we can turn around, that will help. I pray that God will open our eyes and have a change of heart [for those caught in it]; if we can turn around [from engaging in it], that would be nice, ”she told Fifi Folson.

Parliament will begin this week reviewing memoranda it received from the public on the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Gay and Intersex (LGBTQ +) Bill.

The bill, since its introduction in July by eight lawmakers on both sides, has attracted much comment and reaction from supporters and opponents, including legal luminaries and academics.

Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo said he did not feel constrained by the ongoing debates over the passage of the bill.

“We are talking about public opinion; we are talking about a legitimate process that is being used. What I hope is that the debate itself is civil and that we recognize the need to be civil and tolerant of one another, even when there are opposing points of view, ”he stressed. President Akufo-Addo.
