Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman

We live in a culture where we can see two types of individuals. A group of people who believe in things beyond science and follow a spiritual path. Others thrive on the constant advances in science and technology. People who believe in technological miracles like to celebrate National Science Day the same way they like to celebrate their costumes and religious holidays.

Science has pushed us to our limits. Everything around us is a product of science. National Science Day is for those who believe in science, scientists, younger people who work hard to learn about science and technology, and those who love scientific discoveries such as the agricultural community from India.

National Science Day: History and Significance

In 1928, an Indian scientist named Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman discovered a phenomenon known as the Raman effect. For his remarkable discovery, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1930, and it was the first Nobel Prize in India in the field of science, every year National Science Day is observed to celebrate this discovery.

In 1986, the National Science and Technology Communication Council (NCSTC) called for February 28 to be designated as National Science Day by the Indian government. The opportunity is now being held in schools, colleges, universities and other scientific, engineering, medical and research organizations across India.

National Science Day 2022: theme

“The Future of STI” was the theme for National Science Day in 2021. It implied that science should have a positive impact on education and that learners should be more engaged in science and innovation . The topic was chosen to provide a better understanding of current scientific issues as well as research implications for learning, ability and occupation.

Each year, the themes of such a day change, highlighting a different facet of the nation’s society. The themes aim to recognize the efforts of ordinary people, students, employees, public leaders and representatives of scientific institutions.

The theme for National Science Day 2022 is “An Integrated Approach to Science and Technology for a Sustainable Future”.

National Science Day 2022: Celebration and Activities

Students from various schools and colleges present different scientific projects, while national and state scientific institutes present their latest research results. Public speeches, radio-television talk shows, science film exhibitions, science exhibitions based on themes and concepts, observatories, live projects and research demonstrations, debates, quiz competitions, lectures, science model exhibits and many other events are all part of the celebration. .

It’s a waste of time to live without science! Do miracles happen? That would be a separate question, but if you believe in the science, you’ll still consider the logic behind the decision. We had the chance to see scientific studies, breakthroughs and amazing technologies.

This celebration honors Sir CV Raman’s outstanding contribution to research and discovery by giving hope and inspiration to future generations to pursue their dreams. Not to stop at a single discovery in any field, but to continue chasing the nation’s credits in every direction.
