Looking to keep busy or try something new? Here are five things happening this weekend in the Bloomington-Normal area:

Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Illinois

Miller Park hosts the 2022 Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Dive Saturday in honor of Special Olympics Illinois.

Registration is available at the event from 9 a.m. to noon.

Participants must raise a minimum of $100 from loved ones while they dive into the icy lake back.

Those wishing to participate can register or donate online.

‘A Blonde’s Revenge’

Illinois State University’s School of Theater and Dance and School of Music will perform the musical “Legally Blonde” on Saturday.

Show times include 2-4:30 p.m. and 7:30-10 p.m. at the Center for the Performing Arts Theater.

Tickets range from $12 to $17 and can be purchased online.

Seniors Day Basketball Game

The ISU men’s basketball team takes on Indiana State University at 3 p.m. Saturday at Redbird Arena.

ISU Basketball Seniors will celebrate Seniors Day and play their final game at home.

Tickets range from $4 to $35 and can be purchased online.

Tickets can also be purchased at the box office on match day.

Acoustics at the Coffeehouse

Enjoy coffee and live music at 4 p.m. Saturday at The Coffeehouse in Uptown.

Ink Cloud, a metal artist from central Illinois, will perform his tracks on acoustic guitar and metal sets.

The event is free and no reservation is required.

The Central Illinois FIRE Foundation will host ‘Fitness for FIRE’ at 3:45 p.m. Sunday.

A fitness class will be offered at InsideOut Fitness at Normal for those looking to work out for a good cause.

All money raised by FIRE will be used to fund special education resources and staff.

Tickets are $25 per person.
