Emirates News Agency – AIM 2022 holds pre-conference activities aimed at attracting new investment

DUBAI, 12th March, 2022 (WAM) — The Annual Meeting on Investment (AIM 2022), to be held from 29th to 31st March 2022, has announced a series of pre-conference activities designed to strengthen sustainable investments, including including key workshops focusing on attracting new investment, cities of the future and youth entrepreneurship.

Held at the Dubai Exhibition Centre, EXPO 2020 Dubai, AIM 2022 will be under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Governor of Dubai, with the theme “Investments in Sustainable Innovation for future prosperity”.

According to the show organizers, AIM 2022 rolled out an extensive two-day program from March 26-28, with some of the world’s leading finance specialists in attendance.

Activities include workshops carefully curated by the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies such as “Attracting Quality Investment”, “Integrating Innovative Approaches into Investment Promotion”, “Discovering Clients: What’s the Problem and what needs to be validated”, “What are the cities of the future? How to leverage FDI to deliver Future Cities solutions”, “Accelerating FDI in Uncertain Times”, “Inclusive Sustainable Finance” and “Global Leaders Debate: Investments in Sustainable Innovation for a Thriving Future”, to name a few.

Organizers revealed that UAE companies today expressed optimism about acquiring and adopting newer technologies to help power their respective operations. Encouragingly, the country’s positive attitude towards digital adoption has affected critical investments in various forms of technology, including information and telecommunications, blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI), augmented and virtual reality, robotics, digital economy and software development, among others.

“The UAE is widely recognized as a global model of technology adoption, which is attributed to the strong support and guidance of the country’s astute leaders, ensuring that the UAE economy continues to be competitive. and prosper. At AIM 2022, we want to go further and explore the potential of technology investments by bringing these opportunities to the fore,” said Walid Farghal, CEO of AIM Congress.

These technology-driven industries, both in the region and in international markets, will need to prepare for increased demand for their products and services.

Companies offering solutions in e-commerce, q-commerce, edtech, healthtech, fintech, proptech, and entertainment are expected to thrive this year.
