Destiny 2 datamining reveals Season 18 name, raid, activities and more

Destiny 2 Season 18 officially releases on August 23, immediately following the Destiny 2 showcase which details the Lightfall expansion and all the changes coming at the start of Year 6. Thanks to the Twitter user @joshhuntthe datamining community has discovered tons of new details about Season 18 content before launch, including its name, Destiny 1 raid return, activity names, and more.

Season 18 will be called Plunder Season, and players will jump into an overhauled version of The Taken King Destiny 1 expansion’s King’s Fall Raid. are, the seasonal story, “Ketchcrash,” points to Fallen-centric content, and they’re all about taking what they can, however they can. This leads many to predict that players will sneak into enemy territory and steal loot and information about any upcoming threats.

For its part, the King’s Fall Raid is one of the most beloved experiences in the history of the Destiny franchise, and there’s been a lot of community debate about Wrath of the Machine Raid’s return while running the Destiny franchise. Witch Queen expansion. As King’s Fall deals with Oryx, the divine brother of Savathun’s Hive, it made sense to be the returning activity.

King’s Fall is a much more mechanically heavy raid than Vault of Glass, and it’s much longer and more complex, so Bungie has its work cut out to update activity in the Destiny 2 sandbox. It will also be interesting to watch the first World Race, because every Destiny 1 veteran knows more than just how to beat Oryx and all his minions.

As King’s Fall takes place on the Dreadnaught, a paracausal vessel currently abandoned in Saturn’s rings, it was unclear if this location would make more of a return than as part of King’s Fall’s opening encounter. Season of the Haunted saw the Leviathan return as an activity space, and players have been clamoring for the Dreadnaught’s return as a patrol area ever since new planets started making their way into Destiny 2. As unlikely as whatever it may be, the Raid alone is bound to be welcomed with open arms.
