The pledge administration marked the grand opening Tuesday at NMDC, BDL, Power Grid Corpn.

Large mining company NMDC Ltd, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, Southern Region-I and Bharat Dynamics Limited are among the public sector entities that have implemented various programs for Vigilance Awareness Week – 2021 (VAW-2021 ), which started on Tuesday with “Independent India @ 75: Self-Reliance with Integrity” as the theme.

VAW-2021’s inaugural function at NMDC began with CMD Sumit Deb administering the Integrity Pledge to head office employees here, during a program hosted by the company’s Vigilance department. Senior officials including Directors Amitava Mukherjee, Somnath Nandi and DK Mohanty and Executive Director B.Sahoo attended.

Various integrity activities, including slogan writing, speaking and essay writing competitions, will be organized throughout the week. The events began with a competition for employees on Tuesday. Central Vigilance Commission Additional Secretary Praveen Kumari Singh will deliver the keynote address at a session on Corporate Governance – Leveraging Technology and the Whistleblower Mechanism on October 28. The prizes are due on November 1, the last day of the week, the NMDC said. in a press release.

Organized conference

A lecture on “Success with Integrity and Human Values” by Swami Shithikantananda of Ramakrishna Math was organized as part of the inaugural week-long celebrations session by Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, Southern Region-I. Executive Director Anoop Kumar, CGMs, senior officials and employees were in attendance. Various activities are to be carried out during the week to raise awareness “to eradicate corruption in the system and society,” a statement from the company’s regional headquarters said. CMD K. Sreekant has practically administered the Integrity Commitment to employees and stakeholders.

At Bharat Dynamics Ltd, Commodore CMD Siddharth Mishra (retired) virtually administered the Integrity Pledge to all employees in all offices and manufacturing units in Hyderabad, Bhanur and Visakhapatnam. A Gram Sabha in the village of Bhanur, Sangareddy district as well as competitions for employees, workshops / awareness program, a meeting with vendors, a walkathon is on the program to be organized by BDL.
